T. J. Snow is pleased to bring you SOFT TOUCH, manufactured by Unitrol. SOFT TOUCH is a fully passive, fail-safe system that provides very low electrode force when the area between the electrodes is not safe, and only applies full electrode force when when it is safe to do so. SOFT TOUCH is fully integrated into the welding process and requires absolutely no operator adjustments. The SOFT TOUCH system is available for installation on all new and existing controls.
Because Unitrol originally ran a large spot welding department within the company, it was recognized early in the game that welding machines without proper cooling water produced questionable welds and required excessive electrode dressing and electrode replacement. This led to a companion WATER CHILLER line manufactured since 1971.
