Unitrol Electronics, Inc.

Unitrol has been deeply involved with RESISTANCE WELDING TECHNOLOGY since 1970. Systems developed at Unitrol are the direct result of our original roots as a production sheet metal fabricating and welding shop dating back t o 1946. We truly understand the real world balancing act between quality and quantity output from a welding department.

The T. J. Snow Company is an authorized premier distributor for the complete Unitrol line of products, both controls and chillers.

Resistance Welding Controls

Unitrol manufactures single phase and 3 phase Microcomputer solid state resistance welding control systems using either keypad or thumbwheel data entry. Controls are manufactured on a continuous production line to handle welders from 1 kVA to 3,000 kVA and larger.

For complex welding machines, controls are offered to handle up to 15 SCR contactors and 16 solenoid valves while having the ability to do over 27,000 steps of logic.

By design, all Unitrol controls are very easy to program. Control feature a minimum of components and utilize designs that eliminate wiring harnesses and other unncessary hardware found in competitive controls.

Soft Touch Safety System

RoMan’s MFDC transformer is compact, robust and ideal for robotic and projection/stud welded parts.

  • kVA Range: 40 – 1,000 kVA
  • Primary Volts: 325-800 Volts
  • Frequency Range: 400-2500 Hz
  • Standard models are listed below. Contact us for details about models and voltages not listed.

Packaged Water Chillers

Unitrol has manufactured water chillers since 1971. Electrode cooling research published by Unitrol has set the standard in the resistance welding industry.

A complete line of refrigerated water chillers from 1/3 ton to 50 tons is available. All chillers are balanced for resistance welding department use.

Systems are also available to cool industrial process water not connected to resistance welders. These include close loop refrigerated and non-refrigerated packaged units.
