Why ATEX?

TECNA’s ATEX Compliant Spring Balancers and Retractors are suitable for use in areas with a potentially explosive atmosphere due to flammable gasses or combustible materials. They are compatible with most flammable fumes including Propane, Ethylene, Acethylene and Hydrogen (IIC group) as well as flammable dust.

How to Order ATEX Balancers

ATEX Explosion Resistance option is available on many balancers and retractors. To designate this option, add a period and “AX” to the end of a part number.

For example, TE9311 with Explosion Resistance Option becomes TE9311.AX

Ratings for the Explosion Resistant Balancers are:

GAS: ATEX classification II 2G c T6

GAS and DUST: ATEX classification 2G c T6 / II 2D c T185°F
